Our Menu

Like the weather our menu is a moveable affair. Favourites may come and go, but a commitment to flavour-driven food shapes each offering, featuring local ingredients where possible. And like Cameron’s Cottage our menu is modest and influenced by its surroundings. Autumn and Winter flavours are inspired by warm weather climes further afield including the Mediterranean, northern Africa and Southeast Asia. 

Our a la carte dinner menu is designed to be enjoyed progressively; from our tapas style / small plates starters, through a more substantial main course, before surrendering to the sweet temptation of dessert.

We offer set dinner menus starting at $45 a head for 2 courses, for groups of 12 or more and endeavour to design these to your occasion. We can also host dessert and bubbles or coffee and cake style evenings from $15 a head for groups of 12 or more. Fork buffets, canape events, and large scale tapas menus are all options too. Whatever your large group event we will create a food experience to suit. BEER + wine

We are delighted to offer Otago’s own Emerson’s beers on tap, with other beers and ciders by the bottle. Our wines comprise both Alexandra Basin / Dunstan and wider Central Otago options, complimented by some bigger imported reds. Your server will be happy to detail the day’s options to and tp help you make a drinks choice that best fits your desired choice of dishes.

Pastilla $22
Crunchy Greek-style filo pie filled with shredded lamb shoulder, almonds and aromatic spices. Finished with a sunny harissa yoghurt and leafy salad

Deluxe seafood chowder $21
This hearty and aromatic chowder is a meal in a bowl. Full of hand-=selected seafood including smoked fish, whole mussels and prawns w/ ciabatta, and fresh herbs. Add poached egg +$3

Roast beetroot salad $21 (GF)
Sweet and earthy - a real favourite here since day one w/ grilled haloumi, toasted hazelnuts, drunken figs and a tangy palm syrup dressing.
Add house smoked salmon +$7, grilled chicken thigh +$7, streaky bacon +$5, poached egg +$3

US diner-style steak sandwich $22 (GF opt avail)
Juicy medium-rare sirloin, melted Swiss, jalapeno mayo, freshly made onion rings, house-made wholegrain mustard, gherkins, onion jam. Add a fried egg +$3
